Construction of church building - Church building was started in 1898 and it was completed in 1901.

In the term of the Methodist Church, the provision of elementary school, middle school, hostel, widowhood was provided to Mishan and other facilities which were provided for the advancement and development of society. During the tenure of the Methodist Church, Dunga ji colony (currently) primary school and middle school was operated and there was arrangement for the residence of teachers and other employees in the same premises. In the same way the system of hostel was arranged in the compound of Ayurvedic College (presently) and the staff of the house etc. The Methodist Church remained active in this area until 1940.1942. Darmiyan Methodist Church of 1940-1944 closed its work from Raipur and headed towards Jagdalpur, dismissing this area by handing over the area to the American Evangelical Mission.

सेन्ट मैथ्युज चर्च, करबला, रायपुर छ.ग. चर्च का इतिहास प्रथम मिशनरी - किंग जाॅर्ज गिल्डर 1898, श्रीमति ब्लेकमार गिल्डर 1898,

मेथोडिस्ट एपिस्काॅपल चर्च सेन्ट मैथ्युज चर्च के इतिहास के विषय में कहीं से भी जानकारी एवं सहायता नहीं हो सकी है। सिफं चर्च के पुलपिट पर लगे मेमोरियल पत्थर से इतना तो जरूर स्पष्ट हो जाता है कि इस मंडली की स्थापना 1898 में मथोडिस्ट एपिस्काॅपल चर्च के प्रथम मिषनरी किंग जाॅर्ज गिल्डर और उनकी धर्मपत्नी श्रीमति लोइस ब्लेकमार द्वारा रायपुर के इस भाग में हुई। उन्होने इस चर्च में 1918 तक अपना कार्य किया। अपने इस अवधि में इन्होने चर्च भवन का निर्माण किया। चर्च बिल्डिंग का निर्माण - चर्च बिल्डिंग का निर्माण सन 1898 को प्रारंभ किया गया एवं 1901 में चर्च बनकर तैयार हुआ। उन्होने इस क्षेत्र में दो बड़े भाग चुन कर एक भाग में लड़को के शिक्षा हेतु मिडिल स्कूल प्रारम्भ किया गया। शिक्षकों के अलावा सुसमाचार प्रचारक भी थे जिनके रहवास हेतु घर बनवाये गये थे। इस भाग में पुरूष मिशनरी के लिए भी एक अलग बंगला बनवाया गया था। इसी प्रकार दुसरे भाग में महिला मिशनरीयों के लिये बंगला बनवाया गया था। इस भाग में लड़कियों के लिए स्कूल षुरू किया गया था ओर उनके लिए हाॅस्टल की व्यवस्था थी। इनकी उचित व्यवस्था हेतु मेट्रेन की व्यवस्था थी जिनके लिए हाॅस्टल से लगा मकान बनाया गया था। .
